These are the same lures selected and deployed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for monitoring and mass trapping programs for Rhynchophorus palmarum.

Field life: 12 to 16 weeks depending on environmental conditions.
Shelf life: 2 years (or more) if refrigerated. For short term storage of less than 2 months, store in cool indoor area (or air-conditioned area if available). For long term storage of more than 2 months, store in refrigerator (or freezer for longer shelf life). Insect traps are sold separately.
